Today, I have decided to start something different for Unbridaled Passion. I see so many beautiful inspiration boards on wedding blogs and I have always wanted to try my own. Of course, on my own time, I make scrapbooks with my favorite pieces of wedding day splendor, but I’ve never actually used themes to create boards before. So, for 26 days (not necessarily consecutive days), I am going to create an inspiration board for each letter of the alphabet. Though I may start off rocky, hopefully, I will get better at this with time! I’m just excited to be trying something new and I hope you enjoy it, too!
Let’s kick things off with Board 01: A is for April Showers.
Cake: The Twisted Sifter Cake Shoppe
Bride & Groom: The Plunge Project
Yellow Umbrellas: I Do…Inspiration
Save The Date: Etsy
Ring Bearer Pillow: Emici Bridal
Candy Buffet: The Fashion Magpie

On March 26th at her Ojai, California ranch, Reese Witherspoon followed her two children, Ava and Deacon, down the aisle on her father’s arm to meet her loving groom, talent agent Jim Toth atop a bed of fragrant lavender. The foursome looked stunning, with Jim and Deacon in dapper gray suits by Rag & Bone and Reese and Ava in soft blush gowns which were custom made by Monique Lhuillier. The ceremony was set to the strum of a bluegrass band that played the traditional bridal march in addition to twangier tunes such as “Tennessee Waltz” and “Keep on the Sunny Side of Life.”
The reception, planned by Yifat Oren, was described by a guest to be “down-to-earth and beautiful.” From the wooden farm tables topped with cream runners and wildflowers to the flickering glow of candles in mason jars, there was plenty of country charm to be found. The menu included down-on-the-farm favorites as well as Orange Mint Juleps, which gave a nod to local Ojai citrus and Reese’s Southern roots. Keeping in line with the down-home feel, dessert included s’mores and late night snacks included pizza and grilled cheese.
Though plenty of a-listers were present, Reese and Jim’s celebration remained simple and sweet without the fussiness that is soften a trademark of Hollywood weddings.

Rich and Whitney’s charming celebration is the first “Real Wedding” to be featured on Unbridaled Passion. Held at Longfellows in Saratoga Springs, NY, the barnlike exterior of the venue paired nicely with the nature inspired features in the reception area. A beautiful fountain with a fishpond and a tree covered in ethereal fairy lights set the scene quite nicely. The cake was an untraditional shade of taupe with playful flowers that incorporated the overall mood of the wedding. The cake topper, a figurine from a collection called “Willow Tree,” was both romantic and rustic. The bride’s side ponytail was the perfect blend of elegance and laidback style. Pearl drop earrings added a classy yet whimsical touch and perfectly accessorized her gown, an Oleg Cassini look with a high-low hem and flower detail at the waist.
